A private chalet for a group of 11 in the Spiš region

22/07/2026

You went away as a whole family to finally be together, and by eight in the evening you're whispering in a hotel corridor so you don't wake the neighbours through the wall. The children wait by the swings for their turn. Your wellness is booked for exactly seventy minutes. You left the dog at home, because "it can't be done". You wanted privacy. You got half of it. And yet it takes so little.

Rent the whole cabin, close the door behind you, and have the whole place to yourselves.

On a shared holiday, you're meant to be together

You know how it goes - the family splits across two rooms because you don't fit anywhere else. The group meets up only at breakfast, everyone coming down from a different floor. In the wellness you wait for the sauna to free up, and just as you finally sit down, a stranger walks in.

Reception, opening hours, key cards, a neighbour through the wall.

None of it is a disaster. It just chips away, piece by piece, at exactly what you came for - to be together, in peace, with no strangers watching.

The whole cabin is yours

At Chalet Martuška you're not renting a room. You're renting the whole timber cabin. Eight adults and three children fit comfortably. Behind the door there's no reception and no neighbour, only your own people and the quiet of the valley. No one will plan your evening, no one will knock, no one will wander into your sauna. And the valley around you feels like yours, because for those few days it truly is.

Together, but with your own space

Being together doesn't mean sleeping on top of one another. That's why each of the four bedrooms has large beds and extra beds, and its own bathroom.

Every couple, every family has their own door, their own morning, their own peace and pace. You meet downstairs by the fireplace when you feel like it, not because there's nowhere else to go.

This is exactly what multigenerational stays have wanted for years - and the groups of friends who keep promising themselves they'll finally get away together. A cabin for 11, where no one sleeps on the sofa and no one wakes up cross, is the ideal place.

What's waiting for you at Chalet Martuška

A Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna, warmed just for your group, with no time slot and no waiting. A living room with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen if you like to cook together, a terrace looking out over the valley, and a grill and fire pit for evenings no one wants to end.

The children will find their own - a yard, a swing, table tennis, and room to run and let off steam. For you there are two e-bikes and two trekking bikes for when you feel like heading out.

Parking and wifi go without saying. And the small dog nobody else wants is welcome with us. He doesn't have to stay home.

Chalet Martuška stands in the Levoča Valley, in a former woodcutters' settlement. A private chalet in a quiet corner of the Spiš region, where in the evening nothing drowns out the crackle of the fire.

And when the outdoors does call, you have plenty to choose from. Levoča, a UNESCO-listed town, is six kilometres away, the ski slope two minutes, the bio-ponds five. Spiš Castle is twenty-one kilometres, Slovak Paradise thirty, the High Tatras forty-seven.

If you'd like to know everything you can fit into the area, we've written up a whole weekend itinerary in the Spiš region.

The whole of Spiš within reach. And in the evening you come back to exactly where you left your coffee on the terrace that morning - this time finished, because you had the time.

Chalet Martuška is a whole wooden cabin rented to a single group at a time - no reception, no neighbours through the wall. A sauna, a fireplace, bikes at the door, and the whole valley to yourselves. Levoča is 6 km away, the High Tatras a 45-minute drive, and four UNESCO sites are day trips you come home from each evening.

A whole log cabin with a sauna starts at 32 euros per person per night; the minimum stay is three nights. When you book directly with us, you get the best price and the entire place to yourself.
